Overview
Whether a conventional point-to-point system or a fully fledged
multi-zone environment, organisation of the numerous
components is essential when creating the perfect installation. The
equipment rack can typically become a very complex place, especially
when employing multiple point-to-point extenders, repeaters and break-out boxes.
The
RAX DC Power Manager is the perfect solution for providing multiple
devices with 12V DC power within the RAX enclosure. As well as 8 x 12V DC
power outlets the Power Manager can provide power for up to 2 x
RAX-FAN-300s. Control of the RAX-FAN modules can be accessed using the
on-board WebGUI, Telnet or RS232. The speed of the fans can be
thermostatically controlled in three stages by the Power Manager
depending on the users preference. Alternatively, the fans can be set at
a single speed.
Each of the 8 power outputs can be individually
controlled by the Power Manager. Using the WebGUI, schedules and events
can be created to power specific outputs at specific times, or for
single events. In the event of loss of power to the Power Manager, the
unit is equipped with a battery back up to preserve the memory of the
event log until power is restored.
Detailed system information
can also be accessed via the WebGUI including power inputs/outputs,
current fan speed and system temperature.
